In memoriam: Holger Lilienthal, senior scientist at Institute for crop and soil science, Julius Kühn-Institut (JKI) Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants
It is sad to inform our you all that our colleague and HARMONIOUS member Dr. Holger Lilienthal has passed away on May 12, 2020 dying unexpectedly at the age of only 48. Holger worked as a scientist at Julius Kühn-Institut (Germany) in the field of agricultural remote sensing and sensor technology and coordinated the research center for agricultural remote sensing.
He was Management Committee member of our Harmonious Cost Action, representing the German scientific community. He was also member of the Working Group 2 on Vegetation monitoring, within which we had the opportunity to appreciate his propulsive thrust, his smart speculative skills, and his love for research.
With him we are losing a well-respected colleague and great scientist who made a considerable contribution to the action’s success.
